Learn how to reinforce a textile using scraps of fabric and simple running stitch (a sashiko stitch)
An ancient art form that was practiced out of necessity in Japan and which has evolved into a beautiful zero waste craft, used to reinforce and repair textiles in order to extend the usage of fabric/ clothing
It is traditionally done using indigo dyed fabric, Sashiko threads and needle
**This kit has been designed to encourage you to extend the usage of your wearables as against discarding them at the first sight of wear and tear, to be able to use scrap fabrics and threads from your stash and to add your own story to your garments turning them into unique art pieces!!!

Your Kit Includes:
- A rose gold tin box to store and carry all your hand stitching supplies
- A minimum of 5 pieces randomly chosen hand dyed fabrics - linen/ linen-rayon, cotton, hand woven cotton ( sizes vary, light to dark hues)
- An occasional Ikat fabric or two
- One Sashiko needle
- White Sashiko embroidery thread
- Embroidery floss in contrast color
- One wooden bobbin to hold your threads
- Pins to hold your project in place
- Easy to follow instructions on how to repair your jeans
